Course Description

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Certificate IV in Kitchen Management provide you with the practical skills and industry knowledge required to start a professional career in cookery or progress into supervisory and management roles within a kitchen environment.

These qualifications equip you with a strong foundation in food preparation, kitchen operations, and leadership skills, along with the practical experience needed to work effectively in commercial kitchens across restaurants, hotels, cafes, and other hospitality settings.

Upon completion, graduates may pursue roles such as Qualified Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, or Kitchen Manager, depending on the qualification completed.

International applicants must be 18 years or older and have:

  • Year 11 or equivalent certificate of senior secondary education.

  • IELTS 5.5 (with no individual band less than 5.0) or equivalent. (If the level of English is insufficient, a suitable course can be organised).
